Germany's own Rock-tober fest?!

it's twoo it's twoo! From October 13 - 23, in our area, is October-kerwe ... basically the carnival celebrating Autumn...how cool is this?! We went to the Kerwe in Hutschenhausen where our friends grew up and some still live. It wasn't very big, but it ran from Friday to Monday night...including carnival rides for the kids, games, candy vendors and of course, our favorite, the beer tent.

People go there every day and stay there until they are, well...good and happy. Some get up early in the morning and do what we would call a pub crawl, but they do it all day and end up at the Kerwe to finish off the day...now there are some serious partiers. We only managed a couple of hours in the late afternoon on Sunday.

Trevor was super while he was there....he loved looking at all the trees (and the changing colors) and people watching. He was a little antsy until I put the sling on Terry, then the Garbo boys were good to go...I was really surprised at how much Trevor enjoyed being in the sling and checking things out straight on.

Everyone said there was one thing missing....BEVERLY! "Where is she and when is she coming back?!"

This was great!! It was a beautiful October day...good friends, good drinks, good times....one more way to make the most of this Rock-tober!!! Yeeee Haw!!
